On May 28, 2013, Bernard Williams, Jr. passed away suddenly at his home in Baltimore, MD. Bernard was born the oldest twin on December 30, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Alice and Bernard Williams, Sr. As a brilliant and talented young man, Bernard excelled academically and athletically. He graduated from the prestigious Poly Technical Institute where he began his passion for Track and Field. As he continued his academic career, Bernard received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Business Management and Economics from Frostburg State University. During his time at the University, his love of sports continued to blossom. Bernard was a member of the University's Track and Field team and he also became a member of the Rugby team. His thirst for knowledge made him the consummate learner who enjoyed exchanging ideas with family and close friends. While at college, Bernard also developed a strong sense of leadership and camaraderie; becoming a member and the former President of his fraternity Kappa Zeta Chi. His brothers lovingly called him Huggie Bear. After college, Bernard's passion for business led him into Corporate America where he worked for The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Synertech Inc., CFS Health Group, and Exide Electronics. Bernard's compassion, generous spirit, leadership skills, and his love for learning eventually led him to become a teacher with the Baltimore City Public School System. A laid-back jokester, Bernard could always light up a room with his electric smile and the perfect joke. He was a dedicated Baltimorean who believed in representing the Orioles and the Ravens to the fullest. To call him a movie buff would be an understatement. Watching an old black and white classic or a James Bond movie, or playing a game of spades were Bernard's favorite pastimes. As a son, brother, significant other, and father, Bernard was extremely loving and warm. Fatherhood was the title that he was most proud of. Bernard is survived by his mother, Alice Williams, son, Schuyler Williams, brother, Rodney Williams (Stephanie), twin sister, Bernita Williams, nephew, Jonathan Williams, niece, Kellee Williams, his significant other, Gemmalou Guntang; and a host of dedicated family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Williams, Sr. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
