Bernard Mackey was born on May 29, 1942 to the late Charles and Saphronia
Mackey in Baltimore, Maryland. God opened His loving arms and welcomed
Bernard home on July 18,2016.

Bernard was educated in Baltimore City Public School Systems. Bernard served
in the Army National Guard where he began his professional career as a Chef.
Bernard worked at the Ramada Inn, the Hilton, the Marriott and the Sheraton
Hotel. His career expanded thirty-four years until his illness.

Bernard loved taking cruises, traveling, playing pinochle, and spending quality
time with his family and friends.

Bernard met and married Margaret Bailey and they had five children from this
union. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Margaret Mackey; children, Cindy
Nicholas, Christine Johnson, Antoinette Mackey-Williams, Bernard Mackey,
Jr., and Derek Mackey; grandchildren, Ettice and Jonathan Brickus, Donte
Smith, LaToya Jackson, Cortez and Cheera Jackson, Nichelle Mackey, Chaz
Jackson, Derek Mackey, Jr., Tonique Moore, Toniasha Johnson, LaMartinique
Nicholas, Tonira Hunt, Tichon Johnson, Jasmine Spurry, Dereka Mackey and
Aamir Mackey; fifteen great grandchildren; two son-in-laws, Gordon Johnson
and Marvin Williams; one mother-in-law, Emma Furtado, four sisters; Gloria
Washington, Delores Pittman, Charlotte Gray, Lorraine Jamison, one brother-
in-law, Sherman Pittman; one sister-in-law, Sarah Mackey;(three sisters pre-
ceded in death Margaret, Rena and Joanie), brothers, Charles Mackey, Leonad
Mackey, Karl Mackey and Kevin (one brother preceded in death Jerome Mackey
