Bernard Stewart, Jr., son of the late Bernard Stewart, Sr. and Gloria Stewart, Stepfather Robert Gregory, was born on February 11, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed his life on July 12, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Although Bernard did not have a church home, he accepted Christ and attended worship services from time to time. He attended Frederick Douglass Senior High School and Baltimore City Community College where he received an Associate's degree. He worked for several years with Sparrows Point and served in the National Guards. Bernard, (Junior Boy) was a lover of life!! Bernard was a people person who loved his family and friends. For many years he enjoyed walking and always had a routine which was the Edmondson Avenue corridor. He was always neat in his dress and was known for his ponytail and sunglasses. He had a liking for animals and would take in animals that needed a place to stay. His recent pets were his two birds. Bernard leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Lavonne Trovers (Antoine L.); Kim Lundy, Latoya Stewart, Tiffany Stewart and a son Bernard Stewart, III (who preceded him in death; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a devoted friend Dale Robinson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
