Bernest Stokeling was bom to the late Birch and Maude West Stokeling on May 11, 1940 in Houston County, Perry Georgia. He departed this earthly home on Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Baltimore, MD.
As a child, Bernest attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, GA. He received his education in the public schools of Houston County. Bernest moved to Baltimore, MD as a young man to start his career. He was employed by Henry J. Knott Masonry and worked there until he retired.
In 1993, Bemest married Lizzie. Many of his family and friends would affectionately call him 'Scraplron', 'Hook & Ladder',
'Mr. Bone'. He loved dancing, laughing, fishing, cooking and grilling (with his special ingredients; which many enjoyed).
His memories will be cherished by his wife, Lizzie 'Liz' Stokeling; his children: Dexter Barrett, Carey Anderson (Faith), Tony Stokeling, Bernest Stokeling (Carol), John Brown (Karon), Angel Grays, Derrick Stokeling, Ronald Harvey, Denise Williams (Greg), and Kenneth Stokeling (Paula); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his best friend and 'road-dog', Harry; and a host of other relatives and friends that dearly loved him.
