Bernice M. Queen, daughter of the late Louis and Mary Josephine Palmer-Queen, was born on March 18, 1929 in Fairfield, Maryland and she later relocated to Brooklyn. She departed this life on January 17, 2007 to reunite with her siblings, late James, Sylvester, Dorothy, Stanley, Viola, Anthony and Sales. Bernice Queen was blessed with three sons, the late Michael Queen, Anthony Gross and Joseph S. Smith . Bernice, known to many as Bernie, was a lovable person and always made sure her family came first. It didn't matter how old you were or how old you were or how young, you always had a place to go. She liked to cook, enjoyed traveling and loved shopping. Bernie was a wonderful person to know. She leaves to mourn: two sons, Anthony and Joseph; three daughters-in-law, Sue, Rose and Bev; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends and a companion, Herbert Mason.
