Bert Gerald Swinson, beloved son of the late Bert and Marcella Mills Swinson, was born on February 18, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland. He transitioned peacefully on March 27,2025. Born and raised in Baltimore, Gerald, as he was affectionately called, graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1970 and received a Bachelor's in Industrial Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He used his engineering knowledge at Carrier Incorporated in New York City for several years and later at Bristol Laboratories. When he returned to Baltimore, Gerald worked for the Mass Transit Administration until his retirement. For five years after retirement, he enjoyed driving children to and from Baltimore County schools. Gerald leaves to mourn: his beloved sisters, Natalie Swinson and Zina Swinson, nephew, Christopher Gough, great-niece, Aubrie Gough, one aunt, Patricia Jones, and a host of cousins and friends.
