Bessie Farr White-Riddick was born on August 5, 1917 in Pacolet Mills, South Carolina to William and Roxanna Farr. She was one to ten children, Ethel, Rosalee, Clara, Mildred, Effie, Ralph, Lessie, Willie and Jessiea twin to Bessie who passed as a small child. Bessie was very proud that she was the only on of her siblings to have complete high school. She was the widow of both James White of New Jersey and William Riddick of Maryland. She loved attending services and singing on the choir at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church and enjoyed the Keswick Day Care Center activities. Everyday that she was well, she made sure to complete at least one page in her Word Search book. Bessie also loved participating in the Maryland State Foster Grandparent program. Bessie leaves to mourn several nieces and nephew in Ohio, South Carolina and Maryland , especially her niece Angela Cheatham and nephew Howard Rice. During her illness, she was cared for by her niece, Eulastine Brown and her husband Ike Brown.
