BETTY DEAN FREEMAN, daughter of the late Leonard and Willie Bell Fore, was born on June 11, 1929 in Farmville, Virginia. She departed this life after illness on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Gilchrist Hospice Center. Betty was educated in Farmville, Virginia. She came to Baltimore at a very early age and held numerous jobs. Betty met the love of her life at the "Holdtight" Shoe factory; and after a lengthy courtship, Betty and Levi were joined in Holy Matrimony on December 15, 1960. Betty was a baptized believer and had a relationship with her God. She was a member of Christian Community Church under the Pastorate of Dr. Melvin Green. Back in April of this year, Betty and Levi rededicated their lives to Christ. Betty leaves to cherish her memory; one sister, Flora Thomas of Baltimoreseven sibling preceded her in death, Cora Lee Silverthorne, Rosa Davis, Mary Smith, Bessie Wooldridge, Ruth Thornton, Edward and Willie Fore; a devoted niece, Annie B. Harris; a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
