Betty Jane 5uggs Henry began her purpose on June 12, 1944 in Baltimore, MD to the last Levarn Graham and Mabel Stevenson. She and was called home on February 27, 2013 at 4:05 p.m. She resided in Baltimore, MD all of her life. Betty attended Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Douglas High School then went on to marry Harley M. Henry Jr. on February 3, 1967. From this union two children were born; Ralph Henry Vivian and Denise Davis Keith Davis Sr. Betty was a very diligent and ambitious woman working numerous jobs throughout her life. After 30 excellent years of service at Harbor Hospital, she retired her nursing career. She then worked for the Haddaway family in Baltimore as a caregiver. Betty's favorite past-time was spending time with her family. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren the most. Her heart -always smiled when she watched her great-grandsons Sariyah and Davawn and nothing was better than great-grandma's cooking. Betty loved to cook! She was famously known for her soul food, and was especially known for her sweet potatoes and fried chicken. She had a strong hand in raising her nieces, Felisha Williams and Sade Dorsey. Betty loved to travel with the family. She often traveled with her sister, just the two of them to places like Canada and Louisiana. She liked to travel to the Bahamas and had such a wonderful time on all her journeys and we also had a wonderful time listening to her and sharing in her excitement. She blessed us each day with her enthusiasm for life, kind spirit, and unmatchable strength. She had a special gift for loving, caring, and sharing and made those around her want to love, care, and share with her in return. During her lengthy illness, Betty was lovingly cared for at the home of her daughter Denise with a host of other family members showing loving support. Betty is survived by her sister, Gale Cruickshank Carl; her brothers, Wade Allen Marie, Ronnie Graham, and Levarn Graham Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Valerie Henry and Annie Henry; her step-sisters, Patricia Mack, Harriet McClinton, and Sheila McClinton; her step-brothers, Kenny McClinton, Mitchell McClinton, Michael McClinton, and Donald McClinton.
