IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Blanche
Moses
June 21, 1949 – March 1, 2017
Mommy was born on June 21, 1949 in Bishopville, North
Carolina to the late Raymond and Frances Moses. She is
survived by her siblings, Lawrence, Kevin, Christine, Ann,
and Angela and a host of nieces and nephews, too many to
name.
Mommy extends her love to our brother John Pierre (JP)
Senior and wife Koren and our nieces and nephew.
Mommy is reuniting with relatives/siblings who as we speak
are rejoicing in her arrival, they include Reuben, James Com-
modore (Wine) and wife Juanita, Ophelia (Bay-Bay), and of
course our father Johnny Senior.
Mommy was a High School graduate from Southern High
School who was fortunate to get employment during the Affir-
mative Action error with Verizon's (formerly C&P) at the
young age of 18 whereby she remained employed there for 33
years and retired at an early age of 51 years old. She was
blessed to be employed with a company that prepared her to
retire and she did not have to work. After being retired for
about six years, one day I told my mom that watching Manic
Monday on Channel 13 should not be the highlight of your
day, I said to my mom, you can either assist with the transport-
ing of your granddaughter to and from school and aftercare
.activities or get a part-time job. Needless to say, she said then
find me a job; I am not going to be your babysitter. She worked
full-time for 4-5 years with Baltimore County Government,
and then retired.
Mommy was well loved by her family; this was shown by the
many visits that she often received from her family and her
closest friends Ms. Tina and Angie who always called to check
on us and say a prayer.
For those who know us; my mom, my sister, and her grand-
children were very close. So close that when my sister moved
out, she lived within walking distance. You all know that my
first home was purchased next door to my mom (5272 & 5274
Darien Rd) then years later we moved to 814 & 813 Tipton
RD. Initially I was pisst with my mom for wanting to live
close again, but GOD knew then that it was the best idea.
That's why I have often said, mommy was more than a moth-
er, she was my friend. Like GOD, she was there to listen to the
trials and tribulations that life has provided, she took family
leave when Ciera was born, I was 30 years old .... who does
that.
My sister and mother have a unique relationship they were
both born on the same day June 21. The two of them shared
what I have often coined a kindred spirit, because in many
ways they were so much alike; when I was angry at either of
them, I would often say; you are your mother's child.
Mommy was baptized by the Holy Spirit at Brown's Memorial
Church, so when GOD chose to call her home, my family and
I cried, and I am still crying, but I say to mommy you may be
gone but you will never be forgotten. You may not be here in
the flesh, but I find comfort knowing that you are with King
of all Kings; GOD, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Mommy you may not be here in the flesh, but you have a
window with a beautiful view to see Ciera & Justin grow into
young adults that you will be proud of. Dana and I will be
okay, and we will carryon your legacy by being the best
parents and making sure Ciera & Justin are prepared for the
future; the way you taught and prepared us.
Mommy leaves two daughters, Bridget and Dana Senior and
her two most precious legacies her grandchildren, Justin and
Ciera Senior. I say precious legacies because my mom
LOVED her grandchildren; she made sure that she was there
at both births, so that she was the second person to hold them
