Obituary

Blanche Singleton, daughter of the late Thomas and Wilhelmina Singleton, was born on August 1, 1942 in Lamar, South Carolina. She departed this life on December 20, 2011 surrounded by her family. Blanche received her education in South Carolina. She live with her parents, sister and brothers. Blanche would often talk about working alongside her brothers as laborers of cotton and tabacco in the fields. Her favorite pastime was listening to baseball games and was also fond of Nascar Racing. Looking for more opportunities, she left South Carolina and traveled to Baltimore, Maryland. Blanche worked various jobs throughout her life. She obtained employment at the Sun Newspaper Company and Unifirst Company where she retired due to medical reasons in 2001. While in Baltimore, Blanche came in contact with the Jehovah's Witnesses. She started a Bible Study and eventually it led her to being baptized. She loved talking about Jahovah and sharing scriptures and Bible truths with anyone who would listen. She enjoyed going into field service door to door until the final days of her life. Sister Singleton leaves to mourn; four daughters, Lucille, Denise, Maxine and Celestyine; three sons, Matthew, Thomas and Terry; three brothers, Tomalee, Dee and Harvey; one sister-in-law, Cynthia; and over 7, 000, 000 Spiritual brothers and sisters. Sister Singleton also has sixteen grandchildren and four great-gradchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Roger Mae and grandson, Brendan Jamal Singleton.
