Blanche Stokes born on November 12, 1927 in Dillwyn, Virginia to parents Wiley and Martha Susie Cox. She departed this life on April 23, 2020 at The Rock Glen Rehabilitation Ctr., in Baltimore, MD after succumbing to a battle with Dementia. Blanche was the beloved mother of her only child Jimmy Stokes (whom preceded her in death), whom she shared parental duties with her late husband and Jimmy's father Russell Stokes. She worked as a domestic worker for the Felder Family of Baltimore for 70 years and retired just 6 months prior to her passing. She was akind, quiet and very private woman who loved going to large family gatherings in Baltimore and Virginia. She was very independent throughout her senior, until she was no longer able to care for herself. Family and friends would often run into her on the transit buses taking care of business or running errands for herself. She will be missed by a host of family and friends.
