Coley Blease Small, Jr., affectionately known as "Jake," by family and friends, was born on April 10, 1943, in Winnsboro, South Carolina. On the afternoon of November 10, 2014, Jake passed away peacefully after a short illness. At the time of his passing, he was being visited and comforted by his niece, Melinda Portee Palmer, at the Northwest Hospice in Baltimore County, Maryland. Jake was educated and employed in Winnsboro, South Carolina, where he spent the greater portion of his life. He then moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he remained until his death. For five years before his death Jake was a volunteer at Enon Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Jake was a very humorous, warm, and caring person. The gifts of loving, caring and giving were placed in his heart by God. For those who knew him, he will be sorely missed. He was loved and known by many. He is survived by: sons, Walter and Michael Small; daughters, Wanda, Diane Smalls-Friday, and Wanda and Tasha Small, all of Winnsboro, South Carolina; sister, Cynthia White-Braxton of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers, James Robert Small of Winnsboro, South Carolina and Thomas Darnell White of Baltimore, Maryland; brother-in-law, Willie Mack Johnson of Winnsboro, South Carolina; sister-in laws Sally Belle Small of Winns- boro, South Carolina, Azalee Tanner Small and Judy Jones Small of Balti- more, Maryland; 8 grandchildren and and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coley Blease and Pearlie Mae Dubose Small; sister, Dorothy Small Johnson; and brothers, Ezell Alonzo and David Costello Small. Viewing Joseph H.
