Bonnie Mae Bond, daughter of the late Walter Cherry and Doris Herron was born on June 2, 1939 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on July 27, 2008 as the third of five other siblings, two of which preceded her in death the late Sylvester Cherry and Lorraine Speller. She received her education in Windsor, North Carolina and this is where she met and married the father of her five children, Robert Lewis Bond, who preceded her in death on Jult 24, 2002. Looking for more opportunities in life, Bonnie Mae and Robert Lewis then moved from Windsor, North Carolina to New York, where he was a machinist and she was a housewife, who also worked various jobs, the latter of which was the Electric Fuse Company of New York. Bonnie Mae and Robert Lewis then moved to Baltimore, Maryland where their union eventually dissolved in divorce; however, they did remain civil and friends with a bond that always remained constant between the both of them. "Ma" to her children, "Bonnie" to her family and "Ms. Bonnie" to her friends was often described as a loving, kind hearted, quiet, easygoing person- "cool personality". She loved God, people and family. After getting up in age and the children worrying about her being alone, in her latter years Only by God's grace and mercy, she met her loving and dear careprovider, Mrs. Shenelle Arrington who owns the Blue Sparrow Assistant Living Corp.. This friendship between Ms. Bonnie and Mrs. Arrington was not just a working relationship but a relationship that could be described as a sister and daughter relationship - "Ms. Arrington would actually from time to time take Ms. Bonnie into her own homw with her family as one of her own" and when Ms. Arrington would feel a little down herself, Ms. Bonnie would say to her come on!! lets sing "Precious Lord". Shenell, the children are truly grateful, "We Love You" and thank you. She leaves to mourn: her children, Doris Bond, Robert "Robb" Bond, Jr; Angeline Lennon, Alphonso G. Bond and James W. Bond; five grandchildren, Fernando and Renee Lennon, Cameron and Cory Bond and Hasani A. Bond; two loving sisters, Elizabeth Hendericks Walter and Alma Swoop; a devoted friend, Mrs. Shenell Arrington and a host of nieces, nephews, family and loving friends.
