Brian Garnett DeShields son of Valerie Washington and the late Elmer
Hicks was born on January 9, 1970 in Baltimore, MD. He departed this life
on May 19,2017.

At a young age he received Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Brian received his education in the Baltimore Public Schools System. He
held many jobs such as home improvements, moving appliances for Lex-
aco etc. He was jack of all trades and master of none.

Brian never met a stranger. He was very outgoing and would help anyone
he could.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Shawan DeShields;
mother, Valerie Washington (Robert stepfather), one sister, Dyra Boyd;
granddaughter, Chyna DeShields; two nieces, Shawnita Hailey and Angela
Lynch; two grandmothers, Sarah Anthony and Virgie Burns; five uncles,
four aunts, God mother, Yvonne Barnes; devoted friend, Allison Barney,
and a host of relatives and friends.
