Bridgette Lynn Perkins, daughter of the late John Henry and Norma Jean Perkins, was born February 13, 1962 in Roanoke, Virginia. She departed this life on December 26,2016 after a lengthy illness.
She received her education in the Roanoke City Public School System .
She gained employment at Pizza Hut as a shift manager before relocat- ing to Baltimore, Maryland with family. In Baltimore she worked house- keeping jobs for elderly friends in the community .
Bridgette was the mother of daughter, Jamesha Perkins and son John Perkins.
She made numerous friends everywhere she went. If you could get past her feisty outer layer , you would find she was very war n t and down to earth. She had a caring.fun - loving , and giving spirit. Many enjoyed her company; she will sincerely be missed by everyone .
Bridgette spent her last two years being a fighter, smiling through her pain and praising Him in the midst of her storms.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Norma Perkins; her maternal and paternal grandmothers, Henrietta Perkins and Delilah Lavender (both of whom she affectionately referred to as "Mama"); her eldest brother , Joseph Thompson Jr . and her sister, Angela Thompson.
Bridgette leaves to mourn: two children , Jamesha Perkins and John Perkins; sister , Debra Thompson; brothers, Voorhees "Tony" Thomp- son and Steve Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends .
