September 5, 1989 – January 24, 2022
On September 5, 1989, one of God's many daughters Brooke Deniece
Eggleston was born at University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD to
Lashelle Eggleston and Marvin Alexander. On January 24, 2022,
Brooke went back home to God after battling Lupus for 19 long hard
years and due to complications of COVID-19.
Brooke graduated from Carver Vocational-Technical High School as
Salutatorian on June 3, 2007. Brooke furthered her education becoming
the first college grad of her grandmother's grandchildren. She graduated from Coppin State
University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management on December 3, 2012. Brooke was in
the process of pursuing a master's degree at the University of Baltimore before she had to stop
because of complications of Lupus.
Brooke brought joy to everyone around her. Her co-workers became close friends. Over the years
Brooke worked as a secretary at Star Therapy, and University of Maryland Hospital. She was also
a CNA/GNA and worked for several assisted living organizations.
Brooke loved planning events such as baby showers, birthday parties, etc. She had a deep love for
crafting and eventually it was her last occupation before her passing. She enjoyed spending time
with childhood friends Shanieka Epps, Natarsha Jackson, Lakia Brown, Harry Robinson, Kiarria
Jackson, Haley Crosby and her cousin Sasha Brooks. She cherished her relationships with friends
she met later in life, Eric Rose, and Amesha Wiggins.
Brooke is joining her grandparents, on her father's side Mr. and Mrs. Alexander, and her uncles on
her mother's side William Eggleston Jr, Keith Eggleston, and Kevin Blackmon.
She will also be joining the lover of her life Michael A. Truesdale II.
Brooke's memory will be carried on by her mother LaShelle Eggleston; father Marvin Alexander;
sister Breshay Green; brothers Brian Eggleston and Antoine Thorton; niece Cay lei Green;
Grandmother Deborah Eggleston; godson Marquise and stepson Michael A. Truesdale Ill. She is
also survived by a host of cousins, uncles, and aunts on both her father's and mother's side, in
addition to the friends that she made along her journey.
