Bruce Hodge III, son of the late Helena Green Hodge and Bruce Hodge Jr., was born on November1,1950 in Baltimore, MD. He departed this life on January1,2020 after a prolonged illness.Bruce was reared and educated in the City of Baltimore. His deep love of the City was evidenced by his enthusiastic participation in its cultural and community events. He was actively involved in a variety of civic activities, among which included his participation in the work of the Harlem Park Community Development Association, the Chase House Residents' Association, his volunteer work with the meals program of an inner-city church, and his custodial work for the Harlem Park Community BaptistChurch.
The kindness, warmth and sense of generosity so characteristic of Bruce, inspired the respect and attention of many. He made a lasting impression on those with whom he came in contact, no matter the age.
Despite many years of significant health challenges, Bruce was a man of religious faith. He maintained a positive and optimistic outlook onlife,and was a source of inspiration to others.
In his passing, Bruce leaves behind a daughter, Pamela, sister, Melvena Green, brother DeWitt, sister-in-law, Joanne, his longtime girlfriend, PauletteTurner, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,cousins,other relatives and friends.
Bruce will be truly missed. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all of us who loved him.
