Burnest Bush Jr., son of the late Burnest Bush and Leona Elizabeth Spence, was born on October 9, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was called home to glory on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Burnest, affectionately known as Butchie/James, received his educa- tion from the Baltimore City Public School System. He attended BCCC, Liberty Campus, where he studied "Music". James held various jobs and while he was employed at Saint Paul and Biddle Physical Therapy he met Teaira. They were wed on June 3, 2000. James continued to work hard until his illness no longer allowed him and he ended his employment with Standard Auto Parts as an Independent Driver. James received Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and rededicated himself back to Christ in 2004 under the leadership of the late Pastor Walter W Brown Jr. at Alive Again Baptist Ministries. James loved to play the Bass Guitar and his passion for music led him to play with many recording artists such as Soft Tones, Intruders, First Class, Fabulous Friends, Persians and The Spinners to name a few. He traveled to different places oversees to showcase his talent. Recently, he played for various local bands. James 'enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking Sunday dinners for his wife and traveling. James leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Teaira; son, Brandon; stepson, JR.; stepfather, Rudolph Hayes; in-laws, Robert Lee Fayall, Samuel and Mary Stewart; two brothers-in-law, Antonio Funderburk and Charles Hamilton; special friends, Ronald (Ronnie) and Patricia Bowen, Sandy, Phil, Paula, Annie, Tony; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
