Obituary

On the morning of August 17, 2013, Calvin Privott Felton succumbed to his many illnesses while in care of the staff at Future Care- Lochearn Health Care Facility and Sinai Hospital. He was born on March 21,1930 in Baltimore, MD to parents Nathaniel and Jeannette (Neal) Felton. Calvin was the second of their three children brother Nathaniel Alexander ("Junie") and sister Brenda Alice (Burley). Calvin attended Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Frederick Douglass High School in 1948. In his youth Calvin was a member of Union Baptist Church in Baltimore. He attended several colleges and universities starting at Howard University in Washington D.C, with coursework at MIT (the school he spoke of most often) in Boston, MA, all to later become a licensed architect. He served in the U.S. Army 1951-54 Married four times Calvin and had eight children. His first wife, former "high school sweetheart", Alice Simpson (d.) was the mother of seven of his children-Jeannette, Darryl, Marc, Michael, Leslie, Kent and Calvin (d.). His second wife, Corrine Vincelette (d.) was the mother of his eighth child Leo while they lived in Washington D.C... He married his third wife Judith (d.) while living in Vermont. His current wife Christine Worth, he met while living in Ontario, Canada. He was employed at various architectural firms in Baltimore, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C... Among those companies "The Rouse Company" and "Leon Bridges" were most notable. He often reminisced of his employ at HUD in Washington D.C.
