Obituary

On August 4, 2009, Carl Louis Arrington, 67, wa called home to his eternal resting place with his God. Carl was born on October 25, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. Carl is an alumnus of Paul Larence Dunbar High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He would later atted Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio before servng in the Untied States Air Force as a medic. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force before his voyage into success. Carl worked for Sinai Hospital as an Equiment Technician in Baltimore, Maryland for many years. While he was employed by Sinai Hospital, Carl worked as a taxicab driver for Overla Cab and County Cab in order to provide for his family. During tis time period, he also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the football teams in which his two sons played for. Carl also worked for The Power magazine through 2002. As recently as 2008 Carl worked as a volunteer security officer for Good Samaritan Hospital. Carl was a member of the Shiloh A.M.E. Church in Baltimore, Maryland An outgoing and independant gentleman, Carl loved to listen to music, to watch televised sporting events, to participate avidly with his church. to spend time with his granddaughter and last of all Carl loved fine cuisine. Carl made friends whereever he went and always ended up serving as a speaker due to his Barry White-like voice. He will sincerly be missed by us all. Carl married the former Sandra Mason of Portsmouth, Virginia. With this union two sons were born, Sean and James. The marriage ended in divorce after 26 years. Carl leaves to mourn: his children, Sean Arrington and James Arrington; his siblings, Stephen Arrington and Shelly Arrington;his mother, Rosetta Arrinton h is one and only grandchild, Trinity Arrinton; and host of nieces, nephews and cousin. He was preceded in death by his father, James Cephas Arrington.
