Carl H. Diggs of Baltimore, Mdaryland was a native of North Caroina; he was born to the late Henry Diggs and Lucy Cox Diggs. As a young man he lived in Lilesville, Wadesboro in Anson County, North Carolina. He jioned the Civil Conservation Corp, then jioned the United States Navy in the 1940's. He served aboard the U.S.S. Denver during the Korean Conflict. His primary responsibility while in the Navy was a bomb loader. While in Baltimore's port he was introduced to Viginia Trusty. They married on January 10, 1945. From their love came nine children. They resided at 1657 Darley Avenue for over fifty-five years. Carl Diggs retired from Domino Sugar refinery after thirty-five years of employment. Carl H. Diggs was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Diggs; their son Carl H. Diggs Jr.; brother, Sylvester Diggs and his twin sisters, Daisy and Lacy. He is survived by; his daughters, Caroly Lawson the late Ronald Lawson Freda Diggs and Valerie Glover and her husband Rudy, Jdennifer Hayes, Leletia Diggs and Rosita Carpenter; his sons, Eric Diggs and his wife Denise and devoted son Anthony and his wife Denise; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
