Obituary

Carl Savage Sr. was horn on .Inly 22, 1951 to the late Howard Savage and Lola Savage in
Baltimore, Maryland. Call entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2024 at the age of 72.


Carl graduated from Samuel Cumbers High School, then join the US military armed forces for
four years. After returning home, Carl received his bachelors degree from CCBC in general
studies. Carl also received his certification in culinary arts.


Carl worked for multiple companies while exploring his many talents, such as Apollo movies on
Harford Road, working as an usher. Youth care director for camp concern, US Tag Printing
Company, Bright Road Community Living, Super Shuttle Van Transportation and American
Legion for 10 years until he retired as head chef.


Carl accepted Christ al St. John's Christian Community Church under the guidance of Rev.
Tommie L Jenkins Jr. He became a faithful member with his own personal pew until his passing.


Carl was affectionately called "Mr. Savage". He enjoyed taking pictures, swimming, reading, the
company of family and friends, dressing nice, smelling good, having a cup of coffee and
newspaper daily, Oakland Raiders football team, riding around sightseeing and talking crap but
he didn't lake no crap from anyone. Carl loved to cook for his family during the holidays. His
favorite thing to cook was the turkey and it was very delicious.


Carl leaves to cherish his memories: three devoted and loving children Carl Savage Jr., who
proceeded him in death, Shemeira Savage, and Carl "Shortman" Savage III; Tour bonus children
that he raised as his own Done Cloude, Carlos Young, Ashley and Chantelle Lyde; one son-in-law
Anthony Ross; two dogs Bentley and Bella Savage; two brothers, Howard Savage, and Robert
Savage (who preceded him in death); one sister Juliann Fallen; two bonus siblings Constance
Brooks and Darryl Shepherd; four nephews Bryant, Scan, Erie and Derrick; five nieces Kim,
Kendra, Yanetta, Sharon and Keenia; Great Great Aunt Thelma, two special cousins Ted & Larry
Chester and a devoted and loving friend of over 30 years, Bridget Griffen.
