Carla Colletta Branch was born to Claudette King and Jack White. On November 7, 1942 Claudette King married Charles Carter who raised Carla Carter as his own daughter to adulthood.

Everyone who came in contact with her was blessed with her bubbly spirit and joy of life.

Carla was educated in the Camden School System and attended,H. B.Wilson, Morgan Village and Camden High School.

Carla moved to several States and finally settled down in Baltimore, Maryland. Carla loved to sew, crochet, knit and cook. She liked to throw big get-togethers and parties. She also liked to travel. She lived in Hawaii and visited Jamaica and Mexico, she also took a cruise with her mother.

The oldest one! Carla was very outgoing and always had something to do. Carla loved skating and she was very good at it too. She was very creative. She learned howtomake her own clothes and was looking forward to starting her own clothing line.

Carla never got a chance to have children of her own, so she took the partof becoming a second Mommy to her nieces and nephews. She was very family-oriented, every family affair Carla was there. She was a giving sister, a sharing sister and a helpful sister. She didn't mind beinga daughter, aunt and a friend to all.

Carla became ill and within months her body had grown weary and tired and she was no longer able to stand the challenge life gave her.

Carla leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Claudette Carter; her sister, Terry Jordan (Leonard) and her children Candice, Ebony, Julian, John, Terrance and Terrea; sister, Trudy Torres and her children, Tuttaand Christopher; sister, Nicky Carter (Charles Brown, husband) and her children Mino and Nikkia; her aunts, Marvay, Aunt Daisy, Aunt Rosie and uncles; her devoted, fiance Larry Hudson and a host of great niecesandnephews, a host of friends and ex-husband Ray Branch.
