CARLOS RODNEY WILLIS, son of the late Frizzell D. and Mazzelle Willis, was born on January 20th, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the second born of three children. He departed this life suddenly on February 1, 2014. He received his primary education in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Northwestern High School. He went on to further his education at Baltimore City Community College and later attending Morgan State University to become an electrician. Carlos held many jobs over the years, some of his favorites included Peoples Electrical Company and Sugarbaker's Bakery in Catonsville. Although he had no children of his own accord he would grow to love his nieces and nephew as his own. "Derby", as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, loved to joke and had the ability to make even the direst of situations seem minute. Carlos leaves to mourn: two sisters, Carleen Lucy Willis and Gail Janice Willis; two nieces, Aleasea Smith and Alexis Smith; one nephew, David Smith JI.; two great-nieces, Adrianna Smith and Blessing Smith; one great-nephew, Nicholas Alexander Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
