IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carlton H
Wilson
July 20, 1954 – January 1, 2019
Carlton Leroy Wilson, Sr. son of Margaret A. Wilson Coates and the
late Daniel Turner was born July 20, 1954 in Baltimore, MD. He
attended Baltimore City Public Schools and was a graduate of
Edmondson Senior High School. After graduation, Carlton served his
country as a soldier in the United States Army for one year prior to
being honorably discharged.
At an early age Carlton professed his faith in Jesus Christ. He became
a member of New Bethlehem Church under the leadership of his son-
in-law, Pastor Anthony Chandler.
Carlton worked as a cook at Sampsons Soul Food Restaurant, an
overnight Stock Clerk at Pantry Pride and a Stock Clerk at Value Food
until he became disabled. However, he maintained his full-time job as
the family comedian. He would crack a joke just to put a smile on
anyone's face.
Carlton devoted much of his time to his loved ones. He would take
daily trips to 7-Eleven to meet up with his friends and run errands for
his dear mother. He also devoted his time as an avid sports fan of
football, boxing, but most of all baseball. Whether it be a win or a
loss, Carlton would be cheering on his favorite baseball team, the
Baltimore Orioles.
On January 1, 2019 at 6:00pm, the Lord saw fit to call his servant
home after battling a brief illness.
