Obituary

Carole Anita Curtis was born on
September 11, 1959 in Baltimore,
Maryland to the late Flavia Priscilla
Curtis. She was loved and welcomed
into the world by her mother and
her only sibling, her brother

Rodney. She was known as Gigi by
all who knew and loved her.

She attended Baltimore City Public
Schools and later received her
nursing assistant's certification from
PGT Career Institute. She also
attended Johns Hopkins University
and Coppin State University while
working as a substance abuse
counselor at the Johns Hopkins
University and later the University
of Maryland.

Gigi would light up when her
son, brother and most especially,
her granddaughter, Jazzy, visited.
Jazzy was the love of her life. Gigi
loved being around all of her family
and friends. As a result of her fun-
loving spirit and her magnetic
personality, she was loved by many.
Anyone who ever met her never
forgot her. Whenever Gig i entered a
room she ALWAYS managed to
make her presence known.

She is survived by her son James J.
Walker III, her granddaughter
Jasmine A. Walker, her brother,
Rodney Curtis (Ella), her niece,
Shaneka Curtis-Vail (Clifton), her
uncle, Michael Curtis, her longtime
partner, Curtis as well as a host of
other relatives and friends who love
her and will miss her presence.
