Obituary

Carolee Elizabeth Pearmon was born on January 26, 1939 in Baltimore , Maryland to the late Ida Holland and William Arthur Holland whom preceded her in death. Carolee passed away from this life to her eternal resting place on Tuesday May 4, 2021 in the presence of her daughter Holly and sister Brenda at the University Of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie , Maryland .

Carolee received her elementary education at Marley Neck Elementary School and was a student of the Wiley H. Bates Middle and High School class of 1956 in Annapolis , Maryland . She continued her education at the Cortez Business School in Baltimore , Maryland . Carolee worked at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn , Maryland for 13 years, Kimbro Hospital in Fort Meade , Maryland for 10 years, and her final place of employment was with the Anne Arundel County Housing Authority where she worked for 26 years and where she retired in 1995.

On November 16 1965, Carolee married Isiash Pearmon in holy matrimony, whom preceded her in death on December 25, 2007, after 42 years of marriage. They were blessed with two daughters.

Carolee received her initial Christian training at Hall United Methodist Church where she was a loyal and faithful servant of God until her passing. Carolee loved being in the Temple of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she loved her church family and Pastor Rev. Harry Smith.

Carolee was strong in her faith, knowing that God would always carry her through. She held many positions in the church to name a few: Chairperson of the Staff Parish Relations Committee, President of the United Methodist Women, Member of Young and Adult Choirs, Chairperson of the Administrative Board, Church Secretary, and a member of the Communion Stewards.

Carolee enjoyed many activities and holidays, going to Casinos, playing Monopoly, UNO, and cards, the Fourth of July fireworks and Christmas. However, her favorite past time was ordering unnecessary items from catalogs and online.

To know Carolee was to love her. Her calm spirit was warm and welcoming and made you feel at ease in her presence. She was the inspirational voice, the strength and emotional support to many in her family as well as friends and others she met along the way.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her two daughters Karen Melissa Pearmon and Holly Pearmon; one sister Brenda Harris; one niece, Tracy Harris; and two great nieces Amel and Peyton Wheatley; two nephews, William Arthur Holland (Shelley) and Troy Harris; three sisters-in- law, Lillian Pearmon-Riley, Alma Pearmon and Shirley McGowan; two brothers-in-law, Phillip Pearmon (Yvonne), Archie Pearmon (Cathy); one goddaughter, Britani Alexander; one godson, Avery Gaither; special cousins, Laverne Godard, Carlean Clark, Doris Smith and Yvonne Henry; special friends Diane Jackson and Laura Davis; spiritual daughter Martha Alexander whom she has loved and had a special relationship with for over 30 years and host of other family and friends.
