Carolyn Antoinette Gaither was born on September 11, 1943 to the late Nora and William Gaither. She was the third of seven children. Two sisters preceded her in death. At an early age, Carol displayed a natural ability for art-she was able to draw anything. During her years at the historic Frederick Douglass High School, she received many awards for her artwork. Several of her pieces were also placed on public display. Once she graduated from high school in 1961, she eventually became the editor of "The Informant" - a newsletter for Frederick Douglass High School's alumni association. In 1963, Carolyn married David Ellis, but was a career woman as well. She became a secretary for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) until 1983. Realizing she possessed an entrepreneurial spirit, she birthed Production Supreme (formerly Secretary Supreme) in 1984. Production Supreme is a full service support center offering creative graphic services from the initial design camera-ready artwork. Carol's company produced "The Informant" newsletter publication for twenty-one years. On September 11, 2009, Carol was honored at the Alumni Honors Ball sponsored by Frederick Douglass' Alumni Association. Memorial Service Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
