Carolyn Teresa Jenkins, was born on January 16, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Eliza and Johnnie Jenkins. Soon after, the family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she lived her early years. As a young adult she returned to Baltimore and attended Westside Skill Center for Nursing. Her true passion was to become a hairstyle, which led her to attend Gordons Beauty School for Cosmetology. The Jenkins girls' hair was always tight, and now you know why. At the time of her illness, Carolyn was employed with the Douglass Home Learning Lab. We have to note that helping others was another passion she pursued throughout her life, and she was devoted to her dfamily. Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother to daughter Nimoyia Fairley, son Alvin Fairley, three grandson, Diamonte', Detrick and Bevaughn who preceded her in death and one granddaughter, Brianna.
