Carolyn Sue Smith was born to the late Willis Benjamin White and
Mamie Julia White on Monday, July 31, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland.
On Thursday, May 18, 2017, Carolyn was called home to be with the
Lord.
Carolyn was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Later
in life, Carolyn married Bernard St. Claire Smith and gave her heart and
soul to provide a happy home.
Carolyn loved her family more than anything and she enjoyed cooking
for them. She always worried about her children because they were
her pride and joy. There was nothing that she would not do for their
happiness.
Carolyn had a number of hobbies which included drawing, crocheting
and completing crossword puzzles. Earlier in life, Carolyn posed
professionally as an artist's model at the School of Arts in upstate New
York.
Carolyn was a member of the True Deliverance International Worship
Center under the leadership of Pastor Howard Bill Graham.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Bernard St. Claire Smith,
her brother Michael Early, her son, Darryl Bernard Smith and step-
granddaughter Cherelle Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory five
children: Wykean Cooley (Donna), Eric White (Michelle), Bonita White,
Dwayne White, Clarissa Parnell (Daryl), one daughter-in-law Tracey
Smith (wife of deceased son Darryl Smith), three step-children: Collins
Smith, Wanda Crutchfield. Wayne Smith, thirteen grandchildren:
Wykean Cooley, Jr., Catron Cooley, Shamika Cooley, Timothy Mable,
Jr., Keyon Beads, Shannon White, Danielle Fields, Erica White, Omar
Smith, Darius Parnell, Shakar Smith, Kimelon White Ellis (Antoine) and
Deshay White, ten great-grandchildren: Timothy Mable, III, Tamara
Mable, Talayha Mable, Jahdai Powell, Taylor Mable, Carli a Johnson,
Isaac Tsakalos, Cameron Tsakalos, Desiree Tsakalos and Charles Cosby
as well as two special loved ones, Debra Holland and Carlos Johnson and
a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will always cherish her in
their hearts.
