IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carson Robertson
Jr.
May 26, 1934 – April 5, 2025
CARSON ROBERTSON JR., affectionately known as Sonny or Sonny boy, son of the late Edna and Carson Robertson Sr., was born on May 26, 1934, in Danville, Virginia. He gained his wings on April 5, 2025.
At an early age Carson accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He moved with his family from Danville to Fairfield, Maryland in 1943 and was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. As a child he loved riding his bicycle all over Baltimore and was
proud of his first job as a newspaper boy.
He served his country in the United States Army until 1962. He was a longtime employee of Costa! Modular Trailer for many years. After early retirement he was employed by the United States Postal Service for a brief period.
Carson married the love of his life, Mary A. Long in 1959 and from that union one daughter, Patricia was born.
Carson was a quiet spirit and a man of many talents. Retirement gave him the opportunity to pursue more of hisdesires. He was an avid fisherman and participated in several fishing tournaments, sometimes winning awards for the biggest catch.
Carson was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially with children. He continued his love for bicycles throughout his life, owning several, and taught the neighborhood children how to repair their own bicycles. He even provided a bicycle pump so that they could use it whenever they needed it.
He was known in the neighborhood as "Mr. Fix.it".
He also loved trains and spent many years constructing a train garden in his basement that delighted both adults and children.
His family and friends always called on him to help with plumbing, construction and electrical problems. He was always willing to help and knew exactly how to solve the problem.
Carson loved spending time sharing stories and making memories with his family and friends. His thoughtfulness left an indelible mark on those around him.
Carson leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daughter, Patricia Robertson Wells; son-in-law, Gregory; grandsons, Tajuan (& Tinika), Patrick (& Angie); granddaughter, Autumn; great-granddaughter, Ryenne; nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
