Catherine Geneva Rogers, was born on January 8, 1947, in Baltimore, MD to the late Helen B. Scott and the late Bernard Gladney. Catherine was called home on March 18, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Catherine accepted Christ at a young age at St. Paul Methodist Church. She rededicated her life to Christ, accepting Him as her personal Savior, when she became a member of the Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church. Catherine was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She began her career as a cook. She secured a job with the State of Maryland. She retired following this position. Following retirement she served as an Election Judge for several years. On March 20, 1972 she married Clinton H. Rogers. Catherine loved to talk to everyone she came in contact with. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Prior to her illness, Catherine also enjoyed singing on the church choir. She was preceded in death by brother, Gregory Scott. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: A husband, Clinton Rogers; two sons, Eugene and Michael Walker; daughter, Kasandra Mason; daughter-in-law, William Mason Sr.; eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; sister, Beverly Baker; brother, Clarence Scot Jr.; five sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and host of other relatives and friends.
