Chaka Tenika "Nickie" Brown Mack lost her battle with cancer on Monday, November 7,2016. Nickie fought the good fight and never gave up, but God was ready to take her home.

Nickie was born on March 16, 1975 in Seattle, Washington to Howard "Stan" and Augustina "Tina" Brown. Mter Stan's tour in the Navy in 1977 the family came back home to Catonsville, Maryland.

Nickie was educated in the Baltimore County Public School system and at one time pursued a career in Nursing attending the Community College of Baltimore County. Nickie was a dedicated employee no matter what job she held. She held the position of Property Manager at the Belvedere Towers, has worked as a teachers aide at Campfield Elementary School in Baltimore County, and most recently, as Manager at The Sleep Number Store in the Arundel Mills Mall.

Nickie was dedicated to her family and friends. She was proud of and deeply loved her son, Tymein Hale-Brown and she loved her Yorkie, Cody. Nickie was a quiet woman, sweet and generous.

One of her favorite things to do was to eat at the Outback Steakhouse with friends and family.

Nickie is survived by her parents, Stan and Tina Brown, her son, Tymein, three brothers, Stanley, Myron, and Shane and her husband for 13 years Brien, as well as a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The loving and kind one we all knew as Nickie will be missed always.

Nickie requested cremation and her remains will be interned at the Arbutus Memorial Park, 1101 Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus, MD 21227.
