IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chantel W.
Grace
October 21, 1994 – October 18, 2018
Chantel Wanita Grace was born on October 21, 1994, at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the only baby born on the floor at 6:58 p.m. Chantel departed this life on October 18, 2018.
Chantel was born into the Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ church family where her Pastor was the Late Bishop Arthur Riley Shields. During her membership there, Chantel sang on the Forbid Me Not children's choir and was very active in the Sunday School. Later in life, she became a member of The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord where her Pastor was Bishop Jerome Stokes Sr. While at The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord, Chantel received the Holy Spirit at the age of twelve in the children's choir. She worked closely with First Lady Marsha Stokes, attended children's church, sang on the children's choir, and danced with the dance ministry. She was also a part of the drama guild and sign language ministries. Chantel received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System as well as at the Beth Christian Day School.
Chantel was a very special young lady. She could draw, sing, style hair and most importantly she loved to cook. She was very creative. She would make pocketbooks out of her jean pants. Chantel was a straight forward person. She didn't mix up her words. Chantel loved her family and she loved being outside.
Chantel leaves to cherish her memories her four beautiful children who she adored Gartell, Carter, Kaleb, and Khaliah. Her mother Lakendra Adams. Her grandmothers Edna Saunders and Roslyn Gilliam. Her grandfather Andre Adams who preceded her in death. Her great grandmothers Martha Price and Ernestine Means. Her great-great grandmother Pocahontas Reed. Her great-great grandfather Charles W. Spriggs. Chantel also had several god parents by name of Lady Diane Shields, Pastor Otto Burston Sr., First Lady Mildred Burston, and Mr. Kevin. Her favorite cousins were Sherrie Pringle, Tomeka (Meka) Gaskins, and Craig (Buddy) Gaskins. She also leaves to cherish her memories her brother Quinton Grace and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Chantel will be greatly missed.
