Charles Ceford Alexander, was born to Celisa and Louise Alexander September 17, 1935 in Halifax, North Carolina. He departed this life on March 7, 2021.

He was a veteran (US Army). Charles worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years.

Charles was a member of Providence Inspirational Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Clifton E. Freeman, since 1995. Charles served on the trustee board, served as a Sunday school teacher, the bus ministry, male chorus, and janitorial services. He loved to laugh and he loved to make others laugh. Charles gave everyone he knew a nickname. He was a kind and giving person.

Charles was the father of one daughter, Cheryl and two sons, Melvin Sr. (who preceded him in death) and Demitri. Two sisters, also preceded him in death, Marie Mcgirt and Lucille Gorham.

Charles leaves to mourn: his wife, Barbara; two sisters, Lillian Singleton and Mardell Alexander; two brothers, Floyd and Levy; he also leaves to mourn, a dedicated grandson, Melvin Jr. and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
