Obituary

Charle s Henr y Brown, Jr. (Charl i e) was born on January 18, 1925 to the late Marie
Laura Brown and Charles Henry Brown, Sr. in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed life on
earth to experience the joy of heaven on September 30,2017 after a lengthy illness.

Charles Jr. received his education at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Baltimore,
Maryland. He served in the United States Navy as a First Class Semen during World War
II and received an honorable discharge back in 1946. After he returned from the war, he
continued his education and graduated from Carver High School. He was formerly
employed at Glen Eagles Raincoat Factory as a Stock Clerk and a loyal employee for
over thirty years until he retired in the late 1980's.

He was a devoted, dedicated and loving husband to his late wife Gladys Brown. This
union brought forth five sons and one daughter: Jacqueline, Charles, Reginald, Milton,
Michael, and Jonathan. He was a very loving father to his children. When his wife
Gladys became seriously ill he continued to provide for her and the children with the help
from his devoted mother Marie Brown.

Charles Jr. was a strong, loving, caring, kind, hard worker. He was fun to be around and
was known for his beautiful smile and spirit. He enjoyed and loved spending time with
his children, nieces, nephews, friends and especially his close relationship with his sister
and friend Shirley Morgan who he loved. He enjoyed sports especially basketball,
wrestling, and watching movies. He also had great fun traveling with his sister Shirley
Morgan who preceded him in death. He made numerous friends where ever he went.

When his health began to fail him, he went to live with his daughter Jacqueline who took
over responsibility overseeing all aspects of his care and support for many years until he
became seriously disable and was admitted into Catonsville Common Nursing Home in
year 2013 for continuing care and treatment until his passing. The family thank all the
doctors, nurses, aids and staff at the nursing home for the many kind expression and
remembrance of his good nature and fighting spirit. Daddy we love you and you will be
sincerely missed.

He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline Brown, Jonathan Brown, Milton Brown,
Charles Pinnick; one brother, Warren Nathaniel Jackson; nine grandchildren, Kia,
Shawn, Jamal, Marquis, Marie, Tiffany, Crystal, Terrell, and Lisa; two great grandchil-
dren; grandson-in-law, David Johnson; daughter- in- law, Judy Brown; five nieces and
nephews, Harold Morgan, Leroy Anderson, Sharleen Anderson, Sandra Anderson,
Michael Anderson. A host of relatives and friends that he truly loved, Cousin Rhonda
Williams, Pamela Anderson, Dorothy Payne, Thomasina Anderson. Also, a very special
close friend John Hough.

Proceeded in death: Michael Brown, Reginald Brown, Shirley Morgan, Gary Morgan,
Linda Morgan, Rickey Anderson.
