CHARLES THOMAS CARROLL, SR., son of the late Frank Sweat and the late Margaret Carroll, was born April 14, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 after a lengthy illness. CHARLES received his education in the Baltimore City School System. He started working as a Laborer at Local Union #194 in 1965. He was a dedicated laborer and pursued several job opportunities during his tenure at Local Union #194. CHARLES was joined in holy matrimony to the late Daisy Winfield at the age of twenty-seven. They were blessed with three sons and two daughters, Charles Jr., Shina, Avon, Daryl and Shanika. CHARLES became a member of Cookteys Community Baptist Church where he received Christ on December, 1987. He served faithfully on the trustee board. He was called the "money man". He always had change when you needed it for offering. CHARLES was a hard-working man, and a wonderful provider for his family. After serving thirty-five years with the Union as President, he later retired in August of 2000. CHARLES was dedicated to his community and to those less fortunate by providing means of transportation whenever available. Everyone that knew him said, "he's a good man". He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. CHARLES leaves to mourn: three sons, Charles Jr., A von and Daryl; three daughters, Robin, Shina and Shanika; one daughter-in-law, Terry; seven grandchildren, Jamal, Sharda, Derek, Shania, Latira, Jordan, and Yalaina; one brother and one sister; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
