Charles Samuel Chase, Jr. " was born August 21, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Charles Samuel Chase, Sr. and Alice Eileen Jones (Williams). He departed this world on March 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Graduating from Carver Vocational High School in 1967.

After high school, he began work at the Bethlehem Steel Company as an Electrician until he entered the Military (serving 2 years in Vietnam). After discharge, he resumed employment at Bethlehem Steel Company. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Company after 35 years of service.

Charles enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing cards with a devoted group of friends.

He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone.

He leaves to mourn: his devoted Wife, Alice Chase; Daughter, Sheltina Collins; Stepson, Kevin Brogden; Grandsons, Avant Mayo, Kevin M. Brogden, and Kevon Gee; Granddaughters, Karniya Brogden and Hollin Brogden; Sisters, Pamela Stockton (Gregory), Junetta Johnson (Frank), and Darlene Williams; Uncle, Luther Jones; Aunt, Annie Frances Jones; Mother-In-Law, Barbara Elliott; Sister-In-Law, Sylvia Conner; Brother- In-Laws.Erich (Vonda) and Sterling Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
