Charles Lee Griffen, beloved son of the late Lottie Griffen and Leon Baily, was born on March 26, 1946. He departed life suddenly on March 16, 2021. He was born in Marion, SC and moved to Baltimore when he was 15 years old.

He received his education at Baltimore City Public School System.

He was employed in various fields and considered himself "a jack of all trades." He worked at the West Baltimore Street Pawn Shop and Up-to-Date Laundry for several years. His hobbies included fixing things around the house, spending time with his grandchildren, and yelling at the neighborhood kids. He enjoyed hanging with friends at the Clubhouse and playing Pinochle and Dominoes. He also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and eating lunch at Lexington Market.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lottie Griffen and Leon Baily, and his son Lil Charlie.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Angela; seven sons, Steven, Antoine, Clinton, Theodore, Corey, Donte, and Jamaal; four daughters, Charlene, Lakeesha, Lakia, and Sabrina; four daughters-in-law,Lynn, Veronica, Bernadette, and Cathy; father-in-law Sonny; two sisters-in-law, Larnita and Ellen, and a host of other nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one special granddaughter Hailey, that he missed the chance to meet, and other friends.
