CHARLES BERNARD JACKSON SR. was born on January 1, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Vonzella Finney and Daniel Brooks (stepfather George Finney). He was affectionately known as Bernard. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Bernard graduated from Frederick Douglass Senior High School. Bernard was employed with the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and Pimlico Race Track. In 1959, Bernard married the late Elizabeth Valentine. From this union, Charles Bernard Jackson Jr. was born. In the moments he called his own, Bernard spent time with close friends talking and sightseeing at Mondawmin Mall. Bernard was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, his son Charles Jr., his siblings Ervin, George and Miriam. Bernard leaves to cherish memories for a lifetime to: his granddaughter, lakisha A. Jackson; great-grandsons, Terrell C. Jackson and Karnari Mcleod and one special great-granddaughter, Ka'Mya Mcleod; three sisters he loved dearly, Caroline, Brenda and Sharon; a host of other family members as well as a special friend" Miss Priscilla Walston.
