Charles H. Jones Jr. was born on March 8, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Charles Jones Sr. and Madeline Hawthorne. He departed this life on November 5, 2016 after a long illness. The Lord called Charles home to rest.

In 1989 Charles married Denise Ashe. He was a good husband and he loved his wife very much. Charles and Denise spent time together walking, talking and laughing. Charles enjoyed driving his car. He took his wife to work every day. It was so important to him that she got to work on time and that she was picked up on time. They did everything together and there was nothing that he wouldn't do for his loving wife. Charles and Denise had twenty-eight wonderful years together. They both loved each other very much.

Charles attended and received his education from Baltimore City Public Schools. Charles had a lot of street smarts.

Charles worked for various independent Construction Companies such as John D. Awalt. One of the last jobs that Charles worked before retiring was laying the light rail tracks for the new light rail here in Baltimore, Maryland. Charles had many other trades and talents. He loved to take his children swimming at Park Pool. He was always playing and joking with his family and friends. Charles loved to take his children on walks downtown to Lexington Market to buy his favorite meats, peanuts, and fruits. He loved to stop and talk to people that we met along the way to Lexington Market. He loved life and people.

Charles was our Daddy and a he was a man of integrity. He was a God fearing man and he was full of wisdom. Daddy raised his sixteen children to be respectful and to love one another. He taught his children to fear the Lord. While raising his children Daddy never called wrong right. Everything that Daddy did for his children he did with love. If family or friends had a question to ask him or maybe just wanted some advice. You better had been prepared to sit and listenn to a long talk. Daddy's answer or his advice to you would be the honest truth and he would take his time to explain to you why it was the truth. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great great grandfather, uncle and friend.

Charles gave his life to the Christ. He loved the Lord and he enjoyed attending church. Charles joined From The Heart Church Ministries in Suitland, Maryland were he and his wife learned about the Lord and fellowshipped with their brothers and sisters in Christ. Charles loved to talk about the Lord to everyone. If you encountered Charles along your day he would talk about the goodness of the Lord. He spoke a word from the Lord to everyone.

Preceded Charles in death were his two children Glendoria Winder
and Anthony Eugene Jones, his brother Edward Jones. Charles loved his brother Eddie.
