Charles Loney Sr. departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 8:15 a.m. after a lengthy illness. charles who was known as "Dump" was born to Mary Loney. He was reared by the late Reverend Samuel wilson and Bessie Wilson. "Dump" attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He received his early religious training at Herbert Chapel CME Church. For 38 years he was employed at Baltimore City Department of Sanitation as a Chauffeur. Earlier in life he was employed at Camfort Spring Co. and Boston Metal Co. Charles was a faithful employee and always exhibited an extraordinary work ethic. In 2003, he was recognized for his diligent service. He always put his family first. Charles married his first and only love, Patrica. Charles took Patricia on her first date, her 16th birhday, 48 years age. They remained isparable. When the two married on February 20, 1966, their vows "Till death do us part" ended November 19, 2011. This marriage was blessed with two children, Rosalyn and Charles. Charles enjoyed just hanging out with the guys at the garage better known as "The Club House" as he called it. His friends were many, though he was a very private person, he did like people. Too many friends to mention, you know who you are smile. His one lifetime friend, Bill was his friend since childhood who Charles called "Frog." Cutting grass was not only a job to him, but also one of his pleasures. He like watching TV, The Price is Right, Jerry Springer, The News and Fishing, he loved to go fishing. Cooking was another of his pleasures. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. His trademark was potato salad and tuna fish salad and lets not forget barbeque ribs! Mr. Loney always wore one of his signature hats regardless of the occasion. He will always remain in his loves and friends heart. Charles is survived by; his loving wife, Patricia; devoted children, Rosalyn and Charles; his adorable grandchildren, Patrice, Michael and Jordon Spencer, Nicole Loney and Prudence Deline; daughter-in-law, Tanya Loney; son-in-law, Tony Spencer; his mother, Mrs. Mary Loney; nieces, Carolyn, Shirley, Catherine, Deborah, and Denise; nephews, Reginald and Tyrone. Charles will also be missed by his many great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
