Obituary

Charles McCormick Sr. also known as Patchie, son of the late Willie and Jaqueline Williams, was born on November 29,1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on January 5, 2021 unexpectedly to rejoice with the Lord. Patchie received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System.

Patchie worked at Bethlehem Steel, then later worked at University of Maryland, and finally gained employment at Bon Secours Hospital, where he worked for 18 years, met his wife (Sharon) and retired in 2012 as a housekeeping supervisor. Charles and Sharon got married on October 24, 2005 in holy matrimony.

Patchie loved basketball and playing pool and cards with his buddies. He was an active member at Cloverdale, where he gave back to the community and helped the youth.

Patchie loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved listening to his oldies (music) and enjoyed his wife good cooking.

Patchie was so full of life. His laugh and smile would light up an entire room. One thing for sure Patchie knew how to have a good time. The flyest at any party and he had the meanest two step. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to mourn: his wife, Sharon McCormick; his brother, Leon Williams; his sister, Betty Williams; his two daughters, Tonia Lightner and Cynthia McCormick-Smith; his son, Charles McCormick Jr.; his son-in-law, Duric Lightner; his stepdaughter, Tyra Horton; his stepson, Courtney Noakes and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Blue.
