Obituary

Charles Erskine Middleton , was born February 11, 1941 (one of 11
children) to the late Rosalee Aiken and William Henry Middleton, Sr.
in Greenwood, South Carolina. He departed this life on May 22, 2017
after a lengthy illness.

He received his education in the Greenwood, South Carolina School
System. Sometime afterwards, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland
where he met and married, the love of his life, Lula Mae Ford-Goins.
From this happy union six children were born: Eric, Carl, Brian,
Kimberly, Kandice and Kristi.

Charles loved fishing and would often go to one of his favorite fishing
holes after finishing his shift at work. Pop, as he was affectionately
called, enjoyed laughter and could often be found telling jokes or a
funny story. He also enjoyed cooking, eating good food and spending
time with his family and friends.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Lula Mae; six
children: Eric (Clara), Carl, Brian (Joyce), Kimberly, Kandice (John),
and Kristi; eleven grandchildren: Staci, Brian, Jr., Shareta, BJ, John,
Jr., Eric, Jr., Jordan, Kareem, Jason, Justin, and Kourtney; six great-
grandchildren: Asia, Cameron, Khalil, Talon, Aiden, and Brooke; two

Carolina; two brothers: James Middleton (Mattie), John Middleton of
Greenville, South Carolina; a sister-in-law: Eddie Middleton; special
friends: Alfred and Sister Pat Layton; and a host of nieces, nephews,
