On November 14, 2005, the God of Charles William Simms saw fit to quietly ease his pain and gently place his soul into the timelessness of eternity. Charlie, as he wes affectionately known, was born on May 1, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Viola Simms and the late James Scott. Charles always had a smile and joke for everyone. Charlie was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He served in the United States Armed Forces. He had various jobs throughout his lifetime which included working in a bakery, working for the Walter's Art Gallery, and he drove a cab for many years. On October 10, 1959 he married the late Evelyn Rich, and from this union five children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, William, Dwayne and Todd Simms of Baltimore, MD; two daughters, Carolyn Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada and Tina Cromwell of Fort Myers, Florida; an adopted son, George; goddaughtr, Raniasonia Nwogu; brother, James Simms; five grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; aunt, Anna Mae Simms; four very special cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
