Charles Thornton was born February 22, 1936 in Blackstone, Virginia to the late Harry and Hattie Thornton. Charles suddenly passed on December 15, 2016. He will be missed by all who loves him.

Charles moved to Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1950's after gaining his education in Blackstone. Upon moving to Baltimore, he met Dorothy whom he married and had 13 children with.

Charles became employed where he worked until retiring at the Grey- hound Bus Company. He loved going to work and taking walks, also engaging in race track activities.

Charles had a very large family with Dorothy (Dot) sadly some which preceded him in death, wife, Dorothy Thornton; four grandsons, Samuel, Marcal, Jamar and Robert; one granddaughter, Eboni; sister, Catherine; two sons, Robert and Christopher and brother, Robert (Doll).

Charles has gone beyond to be with love ones that has gone before him. He leaves behind cherished memories 11 kids, Charles D., Delores, Charlene, Dwayne, Charles T., Darryl, Antonio, Karen, Demeatria, Rose and Kimberly; 33 grandkids, 63 great grandkids, sister, Barbara; brothers, Alfonso and Roger; sister-in-law, Mae Thornton; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charles will truly be missed.
