Charles Usher, son of the late Eva and Henry Usher, was born April 21, 1935. He sadly departed from this life on May 5, 2009 after fighting a long battle with Diabetes. His security officer career allowed him to socialize with many while protecting patrons; he was later a longtime employee of Bank of America where he retired. Charles, lovingly called Grandpa and Pop-Pop, was the lifetime companion of Marie E. Geter for over 40 years.He assisted in the growth and responsibility of Marie's five kids, Tyrone L. Geter, Deborah Goodman, Carolyn E. Lundy, Calantha G. Hicks, and Ken W. Geter. He was a caring and devoted friend to all he met. He was a passionate fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and found great pleasure in reading. The Sun newspaper daily and watching CNN or any news cast. Charles leaves to treasure his beloved memory, longtime friend Marie E. Geter, her five kids, Tyrone, Deborah, Carolyn, Calantha Penny, and Ken; 7 grandchildrens of Marie; 4grandsons of Marie; and great-grandchildren of Marie, Jordon, Jaydan, Myona, and Marshy. He will be missed amongst a host of other family and friends. His larger than life laugh and voice will forever be missed, but not soon forgotten.
