Charles Watkins, son of Thelma and the late Raymond Watkins was born on November 6, 1940. Charles was affectionately known as "Pop" or "Pop Charlie" to his family and friends. Charles was educated in The Baltimore City Public School System. Charles had two hobbies, pets and music. He raised pigeons and would feed or take in various pets. As a young man, he worked for Sparrows Point and spent his later years working for his family's construction company. Charles was united in marriage and from this union one daughter was born, Barbie Watkins. Charles had always heard the word of God as a youth and accepted Christ as his personal savior in September of 2012. Even though during his illness he was non responsive Charles would enjoy hearing the scriptures read to him. Charles departed this life on February 16, 2013, after a lengthy illness. He leave to cherish his memory: One Daughter Barbie Watkins; Mother, Thelma Watkins; 3 Sisters, Marian Hollis, Darlene Holley, and Carolyn Allen; One Grandson, John; Aunt Geraldine Patterson, Uncle George Watkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends.
