Charles Andrew Wood the son of the late Annie Mae Dillard Wood and Andrew Wood, and was married to the late Virly Moore Wood. Charles was born November 29, 1932 and was called home on July 31, 2015. Charles was a member of Berean Baptism Church; where he was saved & gave his life to Christ, he later became a Deacon in 2004. Charles A. Wood was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran, he went on to become a Long- shoreman where he retired. Charles was kind & gentle man, he made friends every- where he went. His neighbors fondly remember what they called the "slow stroll" and when they asked him how he was doing he would reply "Doing Good - Doing Good" or "Not A Thing - Not A Thing." Charles' favorite past time was gardening; he spent much of his time in his garden. He also loved to fish and spent lot time watching sports. Charles enjoyed life to the fullest and was very devoted to his family & friends. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving children Crystal Wood, Ronald Kelly, Bobby Moore, Antoine Moore, Mack Moore, Rochelle Moore, Diane Moore, Angela Moore, Bernadette Carroll, Patricia Thomas, Larry Thomas, Virly Moore, Cedric Melvin and of grand- children & great-grandchildren. Charles also leaves behind his best friend Harold OcKimmey. Charles kind heart stopped beating but his loving memory will live on forever.
